Used Book Sale

Thank you to everyone for donating and shopping at our Used Book Sale.  We raised over $600 that will go to purchase new books for the Learning Commons.  Feedback from the sale has been amazing.  People were pleased to empty their shelves at home! It is safe to say that there will be a second annual DRS Used Book Sale, in the fall of 2024.

Spring Concert

This year Deer Run School will be hosting a spring concert on March 14, 2024.  It has been a tradition to alternate between winter and spring.  Please save the date!

Illness

Please note that we have a large number of students and staff absent due to illness.  With the holidays fast approaching, we ask that you keep children home if they are feeling unwell.  Children should return to school when:

• The student feels well enough to be here
• The student has not vomited in the last 24 hours
• The student has been without fever for 24 hours

Giving Tree Donations

Thank you to everyone who has taken a tag of the Deer Run Giving Tree.  You are reminded that all gift cards need to be into the office by Monday December 11, 2023.  This way we can distribute them to our three selected families in time for the holidays. 

Deer Run Community  Elves

Thank you to the Deer Run community elves for delivering holiday joy to the staff at Deer Run School! We love our new office poinsettia and yummy chocolates. Your random acts of kindness have filled out buckets!

School Council/Volunteers

Thank you to the School Council for providing dinner for staff on the evening of November 23, 2023.  It was very appreciated by all staff who had to stay late for School Conferences.
Thank you to the volunteers who worked hard to pop 607 bags of popcorn, this past Friday.  That might be our all-time record high.
